On November 11th, the University of Virginia’s Institute of the Humanities and Global Cultures hosted a daylong symposium on “The Humanities in a Digital Age.” The symposium included two panels—one on Access & Ownership and the other on Research & Teaching—and two keynote talks.

Review of QueryPic, produced by Tim Sherratt

QueryPic is a graphical search summarizer that mines content in the Trove newspaper archive from the National Library of Australia. The program is part of Tim Sherratt’s larger TroveNewspaper software project, which allows researchers to obtain parsable data from the Trove collection.
