Dana Wheeles

Dana Wheeles was the Project Administrator for NINES from 2008 to 2013. During that time, she worked as Creative Lead for the beta release of Juxta Commons as well as managing the development of Juxta WS and the refinement of Collex. She is currently a Business Analyst at Silverchair Information Systems, a private firm developing information products in science, technology, and medicine.

Abstract

Free and open source, Juxta Commons is an online workspace for comparing multiple witnesses to a single textual work, privately storing collations, and sharing visualizations. Originally offered as a downloadable Java-based application developed by the Applied Research in ’Patacriticism group at the University of Virginia in 2005, Juxta was taken up by NINES (http://nines.org) and transformed into a web service.
